Source: World Bank, World Development Indicators (SM.POP.NETM, from the UN Population Division's World Population Prospects), CC BY 4.0. Net migration is people who moved into a country in the year minus people who left, citizens and non-citizens alike. The UN estimates it from censuses, registers and surveys, or as population growth less births plus deaths; older years are often five-year averages. Ends in 2023, the last year the UN's 2024 revision estimates; its projections for later years are left out. Each panel has its own scale: the United States' flows are many times Israel's.

How many more people moved into each country than left it, every year since 1990: four countries on their own scales, so the shape of each story shows, not just its size.
