Credits Explained

The monthly credit pool for interactive Numen work: what draws on it, what never does.

Updated 2026-10-05

Your organization holds one pool of credits each month. Interactive Numen work draws on it.

How large the pool is

Each full seat adds 2,000 credits a month. The smallest pool, with the 5 included seats, is 10,000 credits.

The pool is shared. Anyone with a full seat draws on it. Unused credits do not carry over to the next month.

What draws on the pool

Work someone asks Numen to do: chat, Deep Research, building and refining scenarios, Lattice Canvas runs, composing research and Almanac drafts, Custom Index composition, Windtunnel runs and image generation.

What never draws on the pool

Reading, by anyone. PDF and PPTX exports. Everything Palanor runs for you on a schedule: the morning edition, CompanyCast, daily briefs, news ranking, signal scoring and alerts.

When the pool runs low

Admins are told at 80% and again at 100%. At 100%, interactive work pauses until an admin adds credits, at $4 per hundred credits. Reading and scheduled outputs never pause.

If your organization reaches the limit most months, more full seats is usually the better answer.

Bringing your own LLM key

With BYOLLM, language-model work runs on your key and uses no credits. Images and audio still draw on the pool.
