Starting with Palanor: setup and the Foundation Workshop

How every organization starts: a one-time $10,000 setup, a three-hour Foundation Workshop, and your first morning edition the next day.

Updated 2026-10-06

Every organization starts the same way. Setup is $10,000, once. It configures Palanor for your organization and ends in the Foundation Workshop.

Palanor no longer runs a six-week pilot. Setup and the Foundation Workshop replace it.

What we configure

  • Your organization, brand and invitations.
  • Your business profile.
  • Signal Sets, built from your documents.
  • Your first scenario library.

The Foundation Workshop

Three hours with your leadership team. Remote by default; in person at cost plus travel.

  • Where are we exposed, and what decisions are on the table this year.
  • Your first Futures Frame: the uncertainty outside your control, the decision you own, and the four futures.
  • The signal map: the fifteen to twenty-five signals that would tell you which future is arriving, and their weights.
  • Three to five scenarios to track, each with its leading action.
  • Who reads what, and when.

What your leadership team leaves with

  • A Futures Frame they built themselves.
  • A weighted signal map, live in Signal Watch.
  • Three to five scenarios, scored, each with a leading action.
  • A reading list: who gets the morning edition, CompanyCast and which dashboards.

The next morning

Everything the room produces goes into Palanor the same day. Your first morning edition arrives the next morning, read against the Frame, the signals and the scenarios you just built.

After setup

From there it is Palanor Enterprise: $15,000 a year with 5 full seats included, $1,200 a year for each full seat after that, and readers free.

How it differs from the Services

The Foundation Workshop configures your Palanor. Facilitated Workshops and Facilitated Scenarios are strategy engagements, quoted separately.
