Clinical Trials Tracker

Industry-sponsored trial starts, phase advances, terminations, suspensions and withdrawals from ClinicalTrials.gov, by sponsor, with the sponsor linked to the company graph where it matches.

Updated 2026-10-24

The Clinical Trials Tracker lists events for interventional studies whose lead sponsor ClinicalTrials.gov classes as industry, from January 2023: a study started enrolling, a sponsor advanced a drug to a later phase, or a study was terminated, suspended or withdrawn. It is in the Terminal at app.palanor.com/trackers/clinical-trials. In your organization, members reach it through My Tracker, the Trackers row in the menu (app.palanor.com/<your organization>/trackers): its feed reads this tracker through your organization's scope, and every public tracker is listed below the feed.

Dates

A start is dated by the study's actual start date. A termination is dated by its actual completion date, else the date the record was last verified; a suspension or withdrawal by the date the record was last verified. Where the registry gives only a month, the first of the month is used. Sponsors update records late, often months after the fact, so recent counts fill in.

Phase advances

A phase advance is a new study by a sponsor at a later phase than an earlier study by the same sponsor of the same drug or biologic, matched by exact name after placebo, vehicle and dose wording are removed. Different names for the same drug do not match, so some advances are missed.

Reasons and sponsors

The reason column is the sponsor's own text in the registry's why-stopped field, as registered; many stopped studies give none. A lead sponsor links to the company graph through the sponsor match built with Palanor's trial pipeline (exact names, listed or unique companies, hand-checked aliases). Sponsors outside the graph keep the name as registered. The company's Dossier has a Clinical trial events panel, and the command bar opens it with `<TICKER> TRIALS`.

ClinicalTrials.gov's terms

The data are from ClinicalTrials.gov, a database of the U.S. National Library of Medicine, kept current by a weekly sync. The page shows the date ClinicalTrials.gov last processed the newest record. Palanor's modification is the event layer: it derives events from each record's dates and statuses and links sponsors to companies; registry text is shown unchanged.

Downloads and the API

Rows download as CSV with a Pro or Enterprise API key, or a full seat on Palanor Enterprise, and through /v1/trackers/clinical-trials and the MCP tool palanor_tracker.

Rows are registry records, not trial results or medical information. Nothing in the tracker is a forecast or advice.
