Deals is a Tracker of mergers and acquisitions as they are filed. It is at app.palanor.com/trackers/deals. In your organization, members reach it through My Tracker, the Trackers row in the menu (app.palanor.com/<your organization>/trackers): its feed reads this tracker through your organization's scope, and every public tracker is listed below the feed.
What is in it
- Merger agreements (from 2024): an 8-K reporting a material agreement (Item 1.01) filed with an Exhibit 2, the exhibit type Regulation S-K reserves for a plan of acquisition, reorganization, arrangement, liquidation or succession. Item 1.01 covers any material agreement, so filings without that exhibit are left out; a merger agreement filed as another exhibit type is missed.
- Completed (from 2019): an 8-K reporting the completion of an acquisition or disposition of assets (Item 2.01).
- Tender offers and going private (from 2019): Schedule TO-T, filed by a bidder for another company's shares, and Schedule 13E-3, filed when an affiliate takes a company private. The company is the subject; the other party is the filer.
- FTC early terminations (from 2019): transactions reported under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act whose 30-day waiting period the FTC ended early. The FTC suspended early terminations from February 2021 and resumed them in 2025.
Size
The size column is the transaction valuation a Schedule TO-T or 13E-3 states in its filing fee table, read in code from the filing. 8-Ks and FTC notices carry no size here. A filing records a step in a deal, not its outcome.
Follow and alerts
Follow on a row watches that company; Follow this view watches the filters you have set. The rules under the table are shortcuts to the Alerts center, where you can change the numbers. A row counts when it first loads and only if it is dated within 45 days of that, so older filings loaded later never flood you. Alerts arrive in the bell, by email or on your phone, inside your quiet hours and limits. See [Alerts center](/help/modules/alerts-center).
Companies, downloads and the API
Rows are linked to companies by SEC CIK, or by name under the company graph's conservative rules; a linked subsidiary's rows also reach its listed parent. A company's Dossier has a Trackers panel with its rows. Rows download as CSV with a Pro or Enterprise API key or a full seat on Palanor Enterprise, and come through the API at /v1/trackers/deals and the MCP tool palanor_tracker (rows whose source allows redistribution only). Numen can read the tracker too.
