My Tracker and the daily Tracker digest

Every tracker read through your organization’s own scope (the companies you watch, your host countries and states, your industries) as one feed, with saved views, follow rules and a daily digest email.

Updated 2026-10-24

My Tracker is your organization's own view across all twelve of Palanor's Trackers: layoff notices, FDA decisions, deals, IPO filings, private raises, insider and activist filings, distress filings, executive changes, sanctions listings, risk events (recalls, EPA, OSHA, wage cases, CFPB), federal contract awards and clinical trial events, kept to what your organization watches, in one feed. It is the Trackers row in your organization's menu, at app.palanor.com/<your organization>/trackers. The public trackers are listed under it.

The scope

The scope says what is yours to watch. It has four parts:

  • Companies: competitors, suppliers, customers, peers, partners and your own company. Your organization's competitor list joins in automatically (companies listed on a U.S. exchange are matched by ticker; others are shown as not yet in the U.S. filings record), and so do the shared lists you tick (Lists, the ones every member can see). You can also add any company in the company graph, with its relation to you.
  • Host countries: the countries you operate in. A country reaches the trackers that record a country: today, Sanctions (an addition or removal naming the country through an address, a nationality or a country programme).
  • U.S. states: a state reaches layoff notices (WARN), Form D raises, IPO filings, risk events and federal contract awards (place of performance), by the state on the record.
  • Industries: ten broad industries, matched to each tracker's own labels (NAICS sectors on WARN notices, risk events and federal awards, SIC divisions on SEC filings, the filer's industry group on Form D; health care reaches every FDA and clinical-trial row). One narrower choice, Propane, fuel and energy distribution (fuel dealers, petroleum wholesalers and bulk stations, natural gas distribution, electric transmission and distribution, gas and refined-product pipelines), is matched by full NAICS code, so it reaches only the trackers whose rows carry one: layoff notices, risk events from OSHA, EPA and the Wage and Hour Division, and federal contract awards.

A row is in the feed when it names a company in your scope (or a subsidiary the tracker links to it), falls in one of your states or countries, or sits in one of your industries. The In scope as column says which: "Competitor", "State: KS", "Mining, oil and gas". You can also pick which trackers feed My Tracker; by default all of them do.

Who sees and changes it

The scope, the saved views and the follow rules belong to your organization. Every member reads My Tracker. Owners, admins and researchers change the scope and save or delete views. No public page, API, MCP tool or download reads your scope, and nothing about it leaves your organization. The rows themselves are the public trackers' rows, under each tracker's own rules: only sources whose terms let Palanor show them, and dated events up to today.

The chart

My Tracker opens on a chart of the rows in your scope over time, stacked by tracker. The range chips (30D, 60D, 90D, 120D, 1Y, YTD, 5Y, Max) set the window for the chart and the feed together. Hover a bar for each tracker's count and share; click a coloured segment to show that period and that tracker in the feed. Break down by → Stated reason (layoffs) shows only the layoff notices in your scope, stacked by the reason a source gives.

Stated reasons on layoffs

When layoff notices are in your scope, a Stated reasons panel counts them by the reason a source states (a state's reason field, its notice type, or the company's linked 8-K Item 2.05), with the latest quoted words and links. The Stated reason filter narrows the feed to layoff notices with that reason. A reason is shown only when a source states it; most notices read Not stated. A layoff notice's industry is the one the state lists, or the listed company's SEC industry code. See [Layoff Tracker](/help/modules/layoff-tracker) for the rules.

The feed

Newest first. The chips above the table turn each tracker on or off and show how many rows in scope each holds. Filter by why a row is in scope (a company, a state, a country, an industry), by relation (competitors only, say), by a layoff notice's stated reason, by name, ticker or city, and by date. Every filter lives in the address, so a link opens the same view. Each row links to its company page and to its source.

Saved views keep a mix of chips and filters under a name ("Competitors and own filings", "Distress in our industries") so the team opens it in one click.

Follow

Follow My Tracker (or Follow on a saved view) makes an Alerts center rule: a new row in your scope, or in that view, sends an alert. Like every alert it respects your quiet hours, your hourly and daily limits, snooze and mute. A row counts when it first loads and only if it is dated within 45 days of that, so older filings loaded later never flood you. A rule reads your organization's scope only while you belong to the organization. Follow on a row follows that company in its tracker.

On a company's page

When you open a company that is in your organization's scope, its Dossier says so in one line under the header: "In <your organization>'s My Tracker as competitor" (or peer, supplier, customer, partner, your own company), with a link to its rows in My Tracker. Only members of your organization see the line; it is never on palanor.com and never shown to anyone signed out.

Ask Numen

In your organization, Numen (its page, or the side panel) reads My Tracker for you: ask "what's new in our tracker", "anything on our competitors this month", "sanctions in our countries" or "layoffs in our scope that give a reason". Layoff rows come with their stated reason and industry. It answers from your organization's scope only, says why each row is in scope, and links every row to its source. It never reads another organization's scope.

The daily Tracker digest

Each morning, at 07:00 your time (or when your quiet hours end), the digest sends one email and one push listing the tracker rows that matched your follows since the last one: your My Tracker rules first, then your Terminal tracker follows (a company, a view, a large deal or raise, a large layoff notice, a PDUFA date coming up). It is skipped when nothing matched.

It is on by default for Palanor staff and for anyone who follows at least one tracker item, and off for everyone else. Turn it on or off in the Alerts center under Settings → Daily Tracker digest, pause, snooze or mute it like any rule, or use the one-click link at the foot of every digest email. Turning it off stops only the digest; your alerts keep working.

Every row is a public record as filed. A filing or notice records an event, not what follows. Nothing in My Tracker or the digest is a forecast or advice.
