Your organization's signals

Key signals, signals in use, and your personal watchlist: what each is and where to change it.

Updated 2026-10-22

Palanor keeps three kinds of signal list. They do different jobs, and each has one place to change it.

Key signals

Key signals are the short list your team chooses as what you watch as an organization. Aim for twelve or fewer. They appear on the Key Signals strip, in your team's order, with the latest value, the change over about a month (labelled for each series, such as "30 days" or "1 month"), and a small chart.

Owners, admins and researchers manage them on Signal Watch → Manage signals: search to add, drag to reorder, remove. Numen's suggestions sit underneath, with Add and Dismiss. From any signal page you can also use Add to your organization's key signals.

In use

In use is every signal your live Scenarios, Studies and Futures Frames read. Palanor works this list out for you, so you can't edit it on the manage page. Each signal shows small tags (Scenario, Study, Frame) with a count. Click one to open what uses it, and change the signal there.

If a key signal is also in use, removing it from key signals shows where it is used first. It stays in those Scenarios, Studies and Frames.

Shared with your team

Signal Watch and Weave show every signal your organization follows. Everyone in the organization sees the same list. Removing a signal there also warns when your work uses it.

My watchlist (personal)

Your Terminal watchlist is yours alone. Nobody else sees it, and changing it never changes the organization's signals.
