The Sanctions Tracker is a Tracker of listing changes on four official lists: the U.S. Treasury's OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (SDN) List and Consolidated (non-SDN) List, the UK Sanctions List published by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, and the EU Financial Sanctions File. Each list is read every day. It is in the Terminal at app.palanor.com/trackers/sanctions. In your organization, members reach it through My Tracker, the Trackers row in the menu (app.palanor.com/<your organization>/trackers): its feed reads this tracker through your organization's scope, and every public tracker is listed below the feed.
What a row is
One addition to, or removal from, one list. An entry is an individual, an entity, a vessel or an aircraft as the authority lists it. Within a list an entry counts once; nothing is matched across lists, so someone on three lists is three rows. Filter by list, change, country, programme, type and dates.
Names
Entities, vessels and aircraft are shown by the name the list gives, and OFAC entries are shown as OFAC lists them. Names of individuals on the UK and EU lists are withheld: the UK's Open Government Licence v3.0 does not cover personal data, and the EU's reuse decision (2011/833/EU) applies subject to the rules on personal data. Those rows say "Individual (name withheld)" and link to the authority's list, which has the entry.
Dates and countries
An addition is dated by the designation date the list gives (or the day Palanor first read it, when the list gives none); a removal by OFAC's change notice, or the day the entry left the list file. Removals are visible from October 2023, when OFAC's change files begin; UK removals between October 2023 and May 2024 cannot be seen. A row names a country from an address, a nationality or citizenship, or a programme named for that country. Programmes about Ukraine's territorial integrity name no country by programme. Place of birth and a vessel's flag do not count.
Follow and alerts
Follow a list, a country, a programme or a view. Under the table, a rule alerts on a day with 50 or more additions; change the number in the Alerts center. The command bar opens a country's listings with `<COUNTRY> SANCTIONS`.
Downloads and the API
Rows download as CSV with a Pro or Enterprise API key, or a full seat on Palanor Enterprise, and through /v1/trackers/sanctions and the MCP tool palanor_tracker, with the same names withheld.
A listing is a government designation, not a finding by Palanor. The tracker is not a screening service or legal advice: check the authority's own list.
