Google Share of AI Gateway Tokens

Methodology
## What this measures
The percentage of all token volume routed through Vercel's AI Gateway on a given day that went to models made by Google, including its Gemini family. Tokens measure how much text a lab's models read and write. Cheap models win on tokens because customers route high-volume work to them.
## Why it matters
Gateway share is a direct read of developer demand: which models teams actually put into production and pay for, day by day. It moves with model releases, price changes and outages.
## How to read it
Higher means a larger share of gateway traffic. Shares across all labs sum to 100% each day. A new model release often shows as a step within days.
## What it does not say
It is the traffic of Vercel's AI Gateway customers, not the whole AI market. Vercel publishes shares, never volumes, so a rising share can mean one lab grew or the others shrank. A single large customer can move a day's share by several points; read the trend over weeks, not one day. Direct API traffic to the labs, and other gateways, are not included.
