Israel Consumer Prices (12-Month Change)

Methodology
## What this measures
The change in Israel's consumer price index from a year earlier, from the BIS long consumer price series (national source: Central Bureau of Statistics).
## Why it matters
The Bank of Israel targets 1% to 3%; this is the number the policy rate answers to.
## How to read it
Prices rose 1.6% in the year to June 2026, down from 3.3% a year earlier and the lowest since May 2021. The series starts in 1952 and includes the 1980s hyperinflation (486% in November 1984), so read recent decades on their own.
## What it does not say
It does not show housing purchase prices, which the CPI excludes.
