Israel Real House Prices (12-Month Change)

Methodology
## What this measures
The change in Israel's residential property prices from a year earlier, after inflation, from the BIS selected property price series (national source: Central Bureau of Statistics).
## Why it matters
Housing is the largest household asset in Israel and a long-running political issue; real prices show whether it is getting dearer relative to everything else.
## How to read it
Real prices fell 3.2% in the year to the first quarter of 2026, the weakest reading since the fourth quarter of 2023, after a 2.3% rise a year earlier. The series starts in 1995.
## What it does not say
It is a national average; Tel Aviv and the periphery move differently.
## Source
Bank for International Settlements, series `WS_SPP/Q.IL.R.771` (stats.bis.org). Palanor reads the full series every day. Source: BIS. Used under the BIS terms for statistics: reuse is unrestricted with the BIS cited as the source, and the statistics carry no additional charge in Palanor.
