Methodology
## What this measures
The Bank of Canada Commodity Price Index without oil, natural gas and coal: metals and minerals, forestry, agriculture, fish and livestock.
## Why it matters
It shows commodity income outside energy, which matters for British Columbia, Quebec, Ontario mining and the Prairies.
## How to read it
Compare with the total index (canada.boc.bcpi) to see whether a move is about oil or broad.
## What it does not say
It measures prices, not volumes.
