Canada Perceived Current Inflation

Methodology
## What this measures
What Canadian consumers believe the inflation rate is right now, from the Bank of Canada's quarterly Canadian Survey of Consumer Expectations.
## Why it matters
The gap between perceived and measured inflation shows how prices feel to households, which shapes spending and politics.
## How to read it
Compare with measured inflation (canada.cpi.yoy). Perceptions above the measured rate are common after a price shock.
## What it does not say
It is a quarterly survey of about 2,000 people; answers are medians and can be noisy. It records beliefs, not forecasts the Bank endorses.
