U.S. Share of Canada's Exports

69.76% of exports
Methodology
## What this measures
Exports to the United States (canada.trade.exports_to_us) divided by exports to all countries (canada.trade.exports).
## Why it matters
It measures how dependent Canada is on a single customer, and whether the push to diversify trade after U.S. tariffs is working.
## How to read it
Around 75% is the long-run norm. A falling share means sales elsewhere are growing faster, or sales to the U.S. are shrinking; check which with the two underlying series.
## What it does not say
It covers goods only, and oil shipments to the U.S. make it sensitive to energy prices.
