Methodology
## What this measures
Net primary income from abroad for Israel (what residents earn on assets and work abroad minus what they pay foreigners), as a share of GDP. A Palanor calculation: GNI ÷ GDP − 1.
## Why it matters
A creditor country earns income on its foreign assets; a debtor pays it out. It is one of the four legs of the balance-of-payments stages.
## How to read it
Positive means the country earns more from abroad than it pays out.
## What it does not say
Includes reinvested profits of multinationals, which is why some hosts of foreign investment (Ireland, Luxembourg) read very negative.
