Methodology
## What this measures
The largest of three commodity groups (fuel, ores and metals, food) as a share of Oman's merchandise exports. A Palanor calculation from three World Bank series.
## Why it matters
Shows how reliant exports are on a single kind of commodity, whichever it is.
## How to read it
Higher means exports lean more on one commodity group. Above about 35% marks a commodity-reliant exporter.
## What it does not say
Ignores agricultural raw materials and services, and price swings move it.
