DoD FY 2027 Budget Request (TOA) · Navy (incl. Marine Corps) · $ billions

Latest

377.5$ billions

Methodology

## What this measures

The total obligational authority requested for the Department of the Navy, including the Marine Corps in fiscal year 2027 (October 2026 to September 2027), in billions of current dollars, as the Green Book prints it. Dated October 1, 2026, the first day of the fiscal year.

## Why it matters

The request is the administration’s plan; Congress changes it, and the enacted figure replaces it in next year’s Green Book.

## How to read it

$377.5 billion requested, against $306.7 billion in FY 2026.

## What it does not say

Total obligational authority is the money available to commit in a fiscal year, whenever it was appropriated; it is not spending (outlays). War and supplemental funding are included, so the war years jump. The Department of the Navy includes the Marine Corps and the Department of the Air Force the Space Force; defense-wide covers agencies such as the Defense Health Program, the Missile Defense Agency and Special Operations Command. Each new Green Book revises recent years. Single release: one request, replaced each year.
