Crude Oil Production · Saudi Arabia

Latest

7,290thousand barrels per day

Methodology

## What this measures

Crude oil production, including lease condensate, for Saudi Arabia, in thousand barrels per day, monthly.

## Why it matters

Gulf producers set the marginal barrel for the world. Output is the physical side of the oil story: it shows supply decisions, quota changes and disruptions to fields, pipelines and shipping lanes before they show up in budgets and trade data.

## How to read it

Higher means more barrels coming out of the ground. Compare the level with the producer's own recent months; a sharp fall that no quota decision explains usually points to a disruption. Production is not exports: domestic refining and storage sit between the two.

## What it does not say

EIA builds these monthly estimates from national data, trade data and its own assessments, and revises them. The latest months are the least settled. It does not show exports, spare capacity or where the oil went.
