Kuwait · Exchange Rate per US Dollar (IMF)
Latest
0.31per USD
Methodology
## What this measures
The official exchange rate of Kuwait's currency against the US dollar: national currency units per dollar, averaged over each month.
## Why it matters
The exchange rate passes through to import prices and inflation, sets the burden of dollar debt, and shows pressure on the currency.
## How to read it
Higher means the national currency is weaker (more units buy one dollar).
## What it does not say
The official rate. Where capital controls or multiple rates apply, the market or parallel rate can be far weaker.
