Türkiye · Bank Regulatory Capital to Risk-Weighted Assets (IMF FSI)

Methodology
## What this measures
Deposit takers' total regulatory capital as a percent of risk-weighted assets. Türkiye, quarterly.
## Why it matters
Capital is the loss-absorbing cushion. A falling ratio means less room to absorb bad loans before lending has to shrink.
## How to read it
Higher is safer. Regulatory minimums are around 8–10.5% under Basel III, plus buffers.
## What it does not say
Compiled by national authorities under the IMF's FSI guide; accounting and supervisory rules differ across countries, and coverage of the banking system varies.
