Crude Oil, Dubai Price (IMF)
Latest
111.83USD/bbl
Methodology
## What this measures
Dubai crude oil (Fateh), medium sour, the benchmark for Middle East crude sold to Asia, US dollars per barrel. Monthly average of the benchmark price the IMF tracks.
## Why it matters
The price most Gulf crude sold to Asia is set against, so it reads the Gulf supply picture directly rather than through Brent or WTI.
## How to read it
A nominal price, not adjusted for inflation.
## What it does not say
The World Bank Pink Sheet also publishes a monthly Dubai price (commodities.wb.crude_oil_dubai). The two tracked within about $2 a barrel through February 2026, then diverged: $126.71 (IMF) against $91.90 (World Bank) in March 2026 and $111.83 against $93.30 in September 2026. Neither publisher states the reason; read them side by side. The IMF revises recent months.
