Share of Job Postings Mentioning AI (United States)

Latest

7.34% of job postings

Methodology

## What this measures

The share of job postings on Indeed in United States whose title or description mentions artificial intelligence or generative AI, in percent of all postings, as a seven-day trailing average. Daily from January 2019.

## Why it matters

It shows how fast employers are asking for AI skills, or building AI into the work they hire for, well before occupational statistics catch up.

## How to read it

A rising share means more of the jobs on offer involve AI. Compare countries to see where adoption runs ahead.

## What it does not say

A mention is not a requirement or a job created by AI: postings can name AI tools in passing. Indeed classifies postings by keywords, and its coverage differs by country, so levels compare less cleanly across countries than trends do. Hiring Lab no longer publishes a separate generative-AI share.
