Mexico Unemployment Rate

2.63%
Methodology
## What this measures
The share of Mexico's labour force without a job and looking for one, from the National Occupation and Employment Survey (ENOE).
## Why it matters
It is Mexico's headline labour-market number.
## How to read it
It runs low (it peaked at 5.9% in 2020 and has been under 3% recently) because many Mexicans work informally rather than stay unemployed; read changes, not the level, and do not compare the level directly with Canada or the U.S.
## What it does not say
It does not capture informality or underemployment, which matter more in Mexico.
