U.S. Share of Mexico's Exports

Latest

85.46% of exports

Methodology

## What this measures

Exports to the U.S. (mexico.exports_to_us) divided by total exports (mexico.exports).

## Why it matters

It is the mirror of canada.trade.us_share_of_exports: how dependent each USMCA partner is on the U.S. market.

## How to read it

Compare with Canada (canada.trade.us_share_of_exports). Mexico's share averaged about 80% in 2015–19 and has run above 83% since 2024, while Canada's fell to about 66%: one USMCA partner is binding closer to the U.S., the other diversifying.

## What it does not say

This calculation is Palanor's, not Banxico's or INEGI's; the two inputs come from different publishers and can be revised at different times.
