Saint Kitts and Nevis Citizenship-by-Investment Passports Issued (EU Report)

Latest

6,437passports

Methodology

## What this measures

Passports issued under Saint Kitts and Nevis’s citizenship-by-investment program in a calendar year, each family member counted, as Saint Kitts and Nevis reported them to the European Commission for its Visa Suspension Mechanism reports.

## Why it matters

Saint Kitts and Nevis sells citizenship, and its passport opens the Schengen area without a visa; the European Commission monitors the program for that reason. The count shows how many people acquire the passport this way.

## How to read it

Passports a year, dated December 31. Compare against the population with the per-1,000-residents series.

## What it does not say

It counts passports issued, not distinct investors or families, and comes from the country’s own report to the Commission. It does not say where holders live.

## Source

European Commission, reports under the Visa Suspension Mechanism (Seventh Report, COM(2024) 571; Eighth Report and staff working document SWD(2025) 429, Council register ST-17100-2025-ADD-1), Eastern Caribbean table, as reported by the country to the Commission. © European Union, CC BY 4.0. Kept in the investment_migration_people table (one row per value, with the document and table it came from) and written to this series by /api/cron/passport-reach; a new edition lands as a migration.

## History

Single release for now: the European Commission’s reports under the Visa Suspension Mechanism give these countries’ counts mostly as multi-year totals that overlap and differ in span; single calendar years appear only from the 2023 figures on. Those single years are the points here; the multi-year totals are kept in the table, not added in. Each new report adds its year.
