Indonesia — Avg annual hours worked per worker

Methodology
## What this measures
This series reports the average number of hours worked per year by each person engaged in production in Indonesia. It is drawn from Penn World Table 11.0, an academic dataset that harmonizes labor input measures across countries.
## Why it matters
Hours worked per worker help distinguish whether output growth comes from headcount expansion or greater intensity of effort. Organizations with operations or supply chains in Indonesia can use this series to benchmark labor utilization, assess cost competitiveness, and understand how regulatory or cultural shifts affect the effective labor supply.
## How to read it
A rise means each worker is contributing more hours annually; a fall indicates shorter workweeks, more part-time employment, or longer leave. Compare this series to output per worker to separate productivity gains from changes in hours.
## What it does not say
The series does not distinguish between full-time and part-time workers, does not capture unpaid or informal work, and does not break out hours by sector or occupation.
