UK Companies Removed from the Register (Monthly)

Methodology
## What this measures
The number of companies and other bodies that left the UK register during a month: on one monthly Companies House snapshot and missing from the next. Nearly all are companies struck off: Companies House's own monthly "struck off" count for April to June 2026 is within 2% of this. Dated at the start of the month.
## Why it matters
It is the exit side of the register, monthly, with sector and region breakdowns the official statistics do not publish.
## How to read it
The series starts in October 2023 at 36,272. The latest reading, for September 2026, is 54,222. The high is 108,790 (July 2026) and the low 28,206 (June 2026).
## What it does not say
Every body on the register counts: private and public companies, community interest companies, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships, charitable incorporated organisations and overseas entities. Leaving out the bodies that are not companies reproduces Companies House's own count of incorporations within a handful (April 2026: 67,062 against 67,059). Removals come in Gazette batches, so single months swing (June 2026 was low and July 2026 high for that reason). A company restored to the register later reappears in the snapshots. Companies House did not publish a June 2025 snapshot, so removals for May and June 2025 are missing and May 2025 incorporations were counted in the July file.
