UK CPIH Inflation (12-Month)

Methodology
## What this measures
The 12-month change in CPIH, which adds the cost of living in one's own home (measured as rental equivalence) and council tax to CPI.
## Why it matters
ONS treats CPIH as its lead measure of inflation because it covers housing costs most households face.
## How to read it
Compare with CPI (uk.cpi.yoy): a wider gap means housing costs are rising faster than other prices.
## What it does not say
Owner-occupier costs are imputed from rents, not mortgage payments.
