Netherlands: GDP per Person, Market Exchange Rates, % of the United States

Latest

81.8% of U.S.

Methodology

## What this measures

Netherlands's GDP per person in current U.S. dollars (world.gdp_pc.nominal.nld) divided by the United States' (world.gdp_pc.nominal.usa) in the same year, × 100. Written for the years Palanor ranks the set.

## Why it matters

Putting each measure on a U.S. = 100 scale lets the three be compared directly: a European country can be well below the U.S. per person and close to it per hour.

## How to read it

Above 100, higher than the United States. The gap between the per-person and per-hour figures is mostly hours worked.

## What it does not say

Exchange-rate moves against the dollar shift it year to year.
