IATI (International Aid Transparency Initiative): disbursements and expenditures as publishers report them, dated when paid. Recent months fill in as late reports arrive, so a month is shown only after each publisher’s measured reporting lag, and the newest six are preliminary. Sub-Saharan Africa is the OECD’s South of Sahara group; spending through regional and global programmes that name no African recipient is not counted, and government payments to IDA, the Global Fund and Gavi count when those funds disburse them. Data: U.S. agencies (CC0), FCDO (OGL v3.0), BMZ, Global Fund and Gavi (CC BY), © European Union and the World Bank (CC BY 4.0).

How much aid spending reached Sub-Saharan Africa from the U.S. government and from six other large publishers, over each twelve months. It shows where the U.S. cut landed before the OECD’s recipient tables for those years exist.
