OECD. Official aid is grant-equivalent ODA; the newest year is preliminary. Donors outside the DAC are the sixteen that report to the OECD every year, shown only for years all of them have reported. Foundations are those reporting to the OECD (disbursements), shown to the latest year most of them have reported; the Gates Foundation, the largest, reports first and has its own series.
Where development money comes from: the governments of the OECD’s Development Assistance Committee, the countries outside it that report to the OECD (led by Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates), and private foundations. The DAC members give far more than the other two combined, so a cut by them is large next to either.
