U.S. Census Bureau, International Trade API, HS 8542 (electronic integrated circuits), over the 12 months to each month. Imports by country of origin, where the chip was made or packaged. Chips inside finished goods are not counted.

Taiwan supplies the most by far. Israel and Ireland rank high because Intel makes chips there; Malaysia because chips from many companies are packaged and tested there. The ranking plays as a race through the months since 2013.
