Presidential Net Approval: Overall, Economy, Inflation (Palanor Average)

Approve minus disapprove for the sitting president, overall and on the economy and inflation, daily average of published polls, points

Plays the chart through its history. Pauses are where the data set a record or moved most.

Palanor approval average: published national polls, one poll per pollster, weighted by recency and sample size and adjusted for house effects and population, method registered before any result was computed (palanor.com/methodology/approval). History from the FiveThirtyEight polls archive (ABC News), CC BY 4.0; later polls from each pollster’s own release. Gallup, YouGov and Ipsos releases and polls sponsored by campaigns, parties or advocacy groups are not used. The average restarts at each inauguration. Not a forecast; Palanor does not project it. Economy and inflation questions are asked less often, so those averages use a longer window and have gaps when fewer than three pollsters have asked recently.

Net approval of the sitting president overall and on two economic questions, each a daily average of published national polls. Below zero, more respondents disapprove than approve.
