Plays the chart through its history. Pauses are where the data set a record or moved most.
OECD Creditor Reporting System. Bilateral only: core contributions to the Global Fund, Gavi, the WHO and the World Bank are not counted, so this understates donor spending on HIV, malaria and vaccines. Health includes COVID-19 control in 2020–22. Malaria is part of health; HIV is part of population and reproductive health.
What the DAC member countries pay out directly for health in developing countries, by area. HIV programmes make up much of the reproductive-health line; the pandemic years stand out in the health line. Sector data arrive a year after the donor totals.
