U.S. Energy Information Administration, International Energy Statistics. The Persian Gulf line is EIA’s total for Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. Production, not exports: refining at home and storage sit between the two. EIA revises its estimates as national data arrive; the latest months are the least settled.
Crude oil production in the Persian Gulf since 1973, for the region and each large producer. The sharpest falls over twelve months in the record came in 1980, when the Iran–Iraq war began, and in the spring of 2026.
