U.S. IPO Pipeline: Filings and Pricings
First-time S-1 and F-1 registrations filed by operating companies, and operating-company IPOs priced, each month
Plays the chart through its history. Pauses are where the data set a record or moved most.
SPACs and funds are left out. Since 2012 most companies file a confidential draft first, so the public registration comes weeks or months into the process. Some first-time registrations never aim for an exchange listing.
The public IPO pipeline: companies that file to go public, against those that actually price. Filings lead pricings by a few months, and the gap between them widens when the window shuts.
