Plays the chart through its history. Pauses are where the data set a record or moved most.

Required · Continuation · the recent trend, flattening · 3 years

Funded · Continuation · the recent trend, flattening · 3 years

Faint bars: the projected periods. Whiskers: the range about two in three outcomes land in. A projection, not a promise.

UN OCHA Financial Tracking Service: funding as donors and agencies report it, paid plus committed, for the year the money is for. Recent years rise as late reports arrive. Plans are the year’s Global Humanitarian Overview: response plans, flash appeals and regional refugee plans, at their current requirements.

What the UN’s coordinated humanitarian appeals asked for each year and what donors reported giving against them. The gap between the bars is the unmet part of the appeals.
