Share of Humanitarian Appeals Funded

Funding reported against the coordinated UN humanitarian plans as % of their requirements, yearly

36% in 2025the lowest in data back to 2005−32 pp since 2005

Plays the chart through its history. Pauses are where the data set a record or moved most.

UN OCHA Financial Tracking Service: funding as donors and agencies report it, paid plus committed, for the year the money is for. Recent years rise as late reports arrive. A share can rise because funding rose or because requirements were cut. Before 2023 Palanor’s sum of the plans can differ from the FTS snapshot by a few points, because FTS deducts overlaps between regional and country plans.

How much of what the UN’s coordinated humanitarian appeals asked for was funded, year by year. The current year is in the year-to-date series, which climbs through the year.
